Late harvest and chemical treatment of cowpea seeds

چکیده
Reduced quality ofcowpea due to late harvest and therefore pathogen incidence may influence the results of germination test, whenever losses are associated with agentsadhered seed coat;in that context, chemical treatmentof seeds during evaluations reflect more accurately physiological samples, which in turn assurethe emergence healthy seedlings establishment appropriate plant populations inthe field. This study had objective ofevaluating effects fungicide treatment on minimizing cowpea seedsdue lateharvestin seedling development tests. The experimental design was completely randomized four replications. Treatments consisted cowpea, cultivar BRS Guariba, harvested at different times (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 15 days after maturity)andtreated or not carboxim+thiramfor Seeds were initially characterized by moisture mass. Afterwards, sampleswere evaluated tests ofgermination percentage, first count, length dry matter. Data submitted variance analysisand means analyzed as a 2x6 factorial.
